Braver Angels
Braver Angels is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging political and ideological divides through respectful dialogue and mutual understanding. It brings together people with differing views—whether liberal, conservative, or independent—to engage in structured conversations that promote empathy, critical thinking, and civil discourse.
For a Social and Behavioral Science major, Braver Angels offers a real-world application of concepts like group dynamics, conflict resolution, and social psychology. It provides opportunities to study how people navigate differences, build relationships across divides, and foster cooperation in an increasingly polarized society. Engaging with Braver Angels can enhance skills in communication, mediation, and social analysis—valuable for careers in counseling, policy, advocacy, and more.
